Campanile Chartres

It offered a little more than all the Campanile properties we have stayed at previously especially the sumptuous dinner buffet they laid out for a very good price! The staff were exceptional in the sense they went out of their way to accommodate the lack of heating and a kettle for tea/coffee in the room. Also one of the staff actually attempted to make me an Irish coffee which was on the menu, though he’d not done this before! Full marks for attempt!! Very pleasant experience of our last day in France, and our marathon 27 days from England, through France to Italy, France, spain, Portugal and then back through Spain, France again and then home to England!!!

This was a late night stop over before carrying on our journey driving home from Italy to England. Booked the room last minute and got a great price. Rooms are motel style - external door on to an outside walkway, but they were very secure, with window shutters and door locks. Beds very comfortable, nice toiletries/towels and good hospitality tray. Bath in each room, which was small but functionable. The hotel restaurant and bar are very nice, although we didn't eat there, lots of people were and the food looked lovely. Easy and free car parking. Literally just off the motorway, without being very noisy. Would recommend for a short stop.

Room was small , but more than big enough for the one night we stayed. The shower was hot and powerful however the room was cold even with the heater on, we switched it off in the end as it was not worth the noise. Only option in the restaurant was a set meal at 24 euro or a beefburger, which was a shame as menue looked good.

The rooms were small but large enough, breakfast was plentiful and a good choice available, evening meal was a buffet with a good few options and well cooked and a fair price for what we had. The staff were very friendly, made an effort to make sure we were happy and spoke very good English, which was far better than my French!

When we arrived the staff were very helpful and friendly, it was the same for the duration of the stay . We had a 3 course buffet in the evening a a buffet breakfast both excellent. I think the best thing to say is we will return thank you all .
